Oh the weather has been so yucky out here in SoCal. Have you been able to stay dry JustJenn? How 'bout you, Kathleen? And you, Mip Mup? We've had five solid days of pure, unrelenting rain, and I have to admit that I'm feeling a bit soggy about it all!
Today I was driving by the nature park nearby and I noticed that the lake was completely FLOODED over.....the grass was oversaturated, giving the ducks a larger area to swim. It was quite hilarious to watch them swimming around on grassy patches! Later in the day, I saw city trucks out there frantically pumping the water out to the street. The spectator fun was over, I suppose. (I also have to say that being hit by a tumbleweed in the WalMart parking lot was quite unexpected...yes folks, a TUMBLEWEED! I've never seen one up close and personal before until today.)
We've returned to our daily routine, and it's hard to believe that just two weeks ago we were sitting on a sunny Hawaiian beach! This morning I uploaded our vacation photos onto Shutter*fly, and then continued to spend a wad o' cash buying them all. I found half a dozen photos of Allie and Henry that I'm blowing up to 8 x 10" to hang as a collection of black and white photos. I'm excited to get them, and I'll be sure to post the collection in my album soon.
Speaking of albums, I've uploaded some of my favorites onto my BABES album. Go on, take a peek! Last posting I was excited to have new people peek at the album, and to reiterate, EVERYONE is invited to poke around. Just e-mail me for the user name and password!
Last week I was super touched to receive cards from Kathleen, JustJenn, and sweet Ani. Thanks a bunch! So sweet of you all to be so happy about my little BUN. And Jenn, I just have to post your card here because you are quite the talented gal! You need to sell those stamps! And HELLO, can you say A + penmanship?
Well folks, I think I'll close here. Short but sweet!
I've been waiting for you to post again! I *love* that pic of Allie and Henry...SO adorable! I can't wait to see the others when you get them into the album. (speaking of, I can't seem to find the email with the password in it...would you mind shooting it to me again?)
Have a great rest of the week!

Your kids are SO cute...what wonderful photos you take!
As for the tumbleweeds, I used to live (on a dairy farm) on the corner of Artesia Blvd and Valley View Rd. There was a field across the street from us that stretched as far as the eye could see, crowned by Mt. Baldy in the distance. The tumbleweeds would scoot across that field all the time. They also went through our farm and we used some of them to build 'forts'...so welcome to the world of tumbleweeds. I think they are way cool.

Years of being an architect = block lettering.
Yikes - I used to write better believe it or not.

That is such an adorable picture!
I've been reading about all the rain you have been getting down there...WOW. Here in Oregon we usually get more than our fair share, but we've been too dry lately, so feel free to send the rain back our way. We're used to it, and I'm really dying to try out my new umbrella!

I'm glad all is well! I'm visiting you and Kathleen first thing this morning as I saw all of the destruction by the storms on the news last night while I was working! Thought of you both, and wanted to check up on you!
PLEASE email me the password! LOL

That illustration from Jenn is adorable! :)

Glad to see an update! :) That picture is lovely! Happy to hear where you are has not been affected as badly with the mudslides. Do you or anyone know of any collection taken up to help those that are?

Awww, I *lurve* the photo of your Allie and Henry! They are gorgeous (as I am sure your little bun will be too!).
That tumbleweed story is really funny! How strange!
I've been worrying about all you socal bloggers with the news footage I've been seeing! I am glad that you are ok, tumbleweed and all.
Also, can you resend me the userid/password? My organizational skills have gone to pot lately and I haven't a clue even where to look for them in my inboxes...
Big hugs!

Love the new additions to the Babes album...they are so sweet!
Haha...that's really strange about the tumbleweed. Like living in a ghostown!
No more rain now, right? I was driving in the hills of Yorba Linda last week by myself caught in a terrible storm with the roads flooded out (very sketchy experience). I drive a mini, which was not fun on wishy-washy roads. That was the worst of it for me...also feeling very fortunate that we fixed our leaky roof just in time!
I'm so glad to see that the sun is back today. :)

Sweet Leslie, how fantastic your idea of Gifty! I'm enjoying every single minute of what I received from Yvonne! You are so inspiring!

I keep saying it over and over but you have such beautiful kiddies :o) Thanks so much fur the goodies you sent. We ate all the chocolates (even now I'm on a diet again - bad girl) and it's good to have you back. Good luck with all that rain. I know how you feel, we're used to all that rain over here and it can be scary sometimes - and wet LOL

I just read your latest Tiny Talk. My brother used to say the same about me. LOL.

Beautiful pics Leslie! The "Best Pals" one is great - definitely a blow up wall picture too.
By the way - belated thank you for the Xmas card! Love the pic of the kids... they are SOOOOO cute... I really can't wait for #3. You should have 10 more, you and Hank make beautiful babies. :)

Did the tumbleweed come with that whistling sound you always hear in movies when they blow by? I've always wondered.
I am intensely jealous of all that tan! I don't tan. I sizzle, peel and fade. Most unattractive.

What a great photo - and soon there will be three ducks in that row!!
My sister (she is 17 years older than me) and a bit strange had a huge tumble weed decorated instead of a christmas tree this year. I did not see it, she lives in WY, very odd I think.

I love the new pics of the kids. How adorable are they? Looks like everyone had a great time in Hawaii...then again, how could you not? I mean it is Hawaii after all!
