The other day I found this ridiculous note in my work mailbox from Thief Teacher. Here are two little bits of info that you should know before reading: 1.) Apparently Ms. C *, another teacher, helped her pack up my stuff. 2.) I wrote her a note asking her where some personal items were. Okay, so here's the note. It read:
"Leslie-
Thank you for your note. I do want you to know that Ms. C helped me for eight (8) hours -- it was so precious to watch the care that she gave in packing all your things so neatly, so that you're (sic) unpacking process would be smooth & easy! She was awesome in the way she gave her time, heart, and organizational skills to help me and help YOU! So I wanted you to know. :)
I'll keep a look out for your zip disks -- I don't recall seeing those. Was your raffle canister the Holloween (sic) one? Also I will have to replace your twelve pack of roller ball pens, because I have been using them (sorry). Hope all goes well with your new position!
-Thief Teacher"
Isn't that a racket? Anyway, I was inquiring about her the other day as I noticed that she had been absent quite often for a new teacher. Initially her fingerprints hadn't been processed (and one cannot enter a classroom unless fingerprints are taken for safety purposes). So that gave her a few days here and there to miss work. But after two weeks of absences, I inquired again.
"So what's up with Thief Teacher?"
"Um.....she resigned from the district**," my facilitator told me.
"WHAT? She RESIGNED?"
"Yep, she just quit....she couldn't handle your 8th graders, I guess."
So it's true. She's gone, goodbye, adiós!! Ya no más. And after all that hoopla too.
* Now Ms. C is a bit wacky herself, but I do trust her.
**Resigning from the district is career suicide. I can't imagine that someone would spend 5 laborious years in college to get a teaching credential, and then QUIT!
Wow! She's a case. Best off for the students and the district, likely!

Maybe she's off to a new career as a professional thief...or a cat burglar or something.

Good riddance!! Good thing all she has is the pens and you still have your sanity!

Are you sure she wasn't fired for poor grammar?

Oh my! She has issues! Well, I'm know there's no love lost on anyone's part. I'm sure there were deeper reasons for her to just up and resign. Could something have popped up in her background check? She is as wack job! ;)
